Liverpool Everton Match Preview

Its that time again, the Merseyside Derby is upon us. I think everyone involved with football looks forward to this fixture every year because you don't know what its going to bring. In the past these fixtures have been pretty enjoyable to watch and I don't think Saturday is going to be any different. From 2014 - 2016 we have seen 3 draws and 2 wins for Liverpool both home and away but we cant write Everton off too quickly. They have won 3 in there last 5 and only been beaten by Spurs away from home 3-2 so going into this fixture Everton will be in high spirits and are not shy of a goal or 2. Liverpool are in similar form by beating 2 of the big boys in this league - Arsenal and Spurs at home.
A lot of players are coming back from international duty and how tired these players are could play a massive part in how this fixture plays out on Saturday. Liverpool look a little shaky at the back which could help Everton. They have kept 1 clean sheet in there last 4 home games but on the flipside they have scored 2 or more in return. Everton however are looking very solid at the back and have kept 4 clean sheets in there last 5.
Liverpool are without Adam Lallana after he came back from England duty with a thigh injury and will miss up 4 weeks which will be a massive blow for Klopps side. Everton on the other hand are missing Seamus Coleman with a broken tibia.
Looking at goalscorers, Liverpool's Firmino and Coutinho have both been very inconsistent recently, whereas James Milner has 7 goals from 27 appearances this season. Impressive stats for a left back and as the main penalty taker he is my pick for anytime goalscorer this weekend.
